Join us for our 35th Gingerbread Extravaganza, our beloved, annual gingerbread decorating contest for young and the young at heart.
Free and open to the public, the Extravaganza will be held at the Arkansas State Capitol Rotunda on December 11, 2022, from 1 – 3 pm.
Come view the Celebrity Tour of Homes, gingerbread houses decorated by celebrities, and selected entries and winners of the Holiday Coloring Contest. Witness the excitement when the winners of the Gingerbread House Decorating contest, the Holiday Coloring Contest and the Viewer’s Choice Awards will be presented from 2 – 3 pm.

Use your imagination and creative skills to compete and (vote) in the
Gingerbread House Decorating Competition (kids and adults)
or the
Holiday Coloring Contest (grades Pre-K through 5th grade)
The winners will be announced both in person and during a Facebook Live from the Arkansas State Capitol Rotunda on Sunday, December 11, 2 – 3 pm.
Gingerbread House Decorating Competition
- Pick up a gingerbread kit from the Treatment Homes office at 700 West Fourth Street, Little Rock, AR 72201, Monday through Friday during regular business hours. The kits are priced $15 (small), $20 (medium) and $40 (mansion).
- Register to enter the competition by calling 501-372-5039 or submitting this completed entry form.
- At home, decorate the gingerbread house to your heart’s content and take a couple of close-ups with your cell phone (front, back and sides).
- Email the photos, along with your name and contact information, to gbhouse@treatmenthomes.org no later than December 9.
- Beginning on Friday evening, December 9, through Sunday, December 11, noon, visit our Facebook page and “like” your favorite(s). The photo with the most “likes” wins the VIEWERS CHOICE AWARD.
- Then join us at the State Capitol or tune in to our Facebook page for a live webcast, Sunday, December 11, 2 – 3 pm, to watch the winner announcements.
Gift cards will be awarded to the winners of 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in 5 categories:
Holiday Coloring Contest (Grades PreK-5th)
- If your school is participating, your young artist in grades PreK-5 may have already received instructions of how to participate. If not, download and print this coloring sheet.
- Deliver your child’s completed entry to 700 West 4th Street, Little Rock, AR 72201 or mail it postmarked by December 2 to Treatment Homes, Inc., P.O. Box 1400, Little Rock, AR 72203.
- View the winners, along with selected entries, on display at theArkansas State Capitol from 1 – 2 pm and stay for the presentation of prizes from 2 – 3 pm. Or tune in to our Facebook page for a live webcast on Sunday, December 11, 2 pm to 3 pm, for the winner announcements.
Prizes will be awarded in each category.
