Remembering Ken and Glenda Bittle

In 1983, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Bittle used their property as collateral for a loan from Metropolitan Bank to finance the beginnings of our new organization focused on finding homes for foster children. The primary goal was to “stop the moving”; some foster children were moved as many as 40 different times.

Live and Silent Auction

Back by popular demand, Steve Thacker of the Arkansas Auction Group will be the auctioneer for the evening.

The Beginnings of Treatment Homes Inc.

Treatment Homes began in1983 when 13 specially trained foster parents and a professional social worker decided that family-based treatment known as therapeutic foster care was the best option for foster children experiencing emotional trauma.

Little did we know that therapeutic foster care would expand throughout the state of Arkansas in the 1990s and achieve the status of an evidence-based practice model that would spread through the entire nation.

What a testimony of the love, protection and courage of behalf of children and youth for four decades.

But let’s not stop there.

To continue our legacy for the next four decades, we need your commitment. Please attend this special anniversary celebration to invest in the lives of foster children.
